For those who know that I eschew the use of cell phones (especially my old college roommate), I happily join the ranks of Thomas Sowell, of whom it was said he was "the last of the Luddites."

Incidentally, it would be a decade later [written in 1981] before I would finally begin to use a computer. Before then, a colleague at Stanford who was more up to date on the computer revolution called me "the last of the Luddites."
