Re: Prez Respect

Slate guy/gal may be right...I have no idea (hope I was clear about that). I didn't mean for it to be so much a post about parties but about the office though the video certainly was. Just seems to me that there has been a decline.

I definitely think you're right that we've gotten casual about the Office (like casual about dress on airplanes). And I realize you cited the video for that proposition. But the right wing blogosphere I see is using it as proof of the proposition that the media is genuflecting to Obama and had no respect for Bush. But, if the Slate person is right (and I also have no idea if that's an accurate description; there are links within the article to Fleischer's comments on the topic that might be illuminating but I didn't read), then this video is being used to mislead. Bush got a honeymoon from the press. See run-up to Iraq.
