Charles Krauthammer, who originally coined the phrase “The Bush Doctrine” in 2001, thinks Charles Gibson doesn’t know what it means, and argues that “in what respect, Charlie?” is a sensible response to an ambiguous question. Posted at 9:02 PM
Clinton: I believe diplomacy should be the cornerstone of any foreign policy. Palin: And I can see Russia from my house.
In SNL land the second answer is meant to sound stupid. In the real world, the second answer is the better one. As to their respective roads to the White House, Palin is Governor of Alaska; Clinton was married to the Governor of Arkansas. Rudimentary feminism suggests which is the more impressive and which the better qualification. The former road was traveled by Margaret Thatcher, the latter by Eva PerĂ³n.

I'm sick of the elitist take on SP, and I know elitist when I see it bc I used to be one of you.
Elitist is ignoring the fact that Hillary is a frickin U.S. Senator, not merely the wife of a gov.
Was Rove being elitist when he dissed Tim Kaine's resume, which was deeper than Palin's?
Do we really want to examine where Hill is and how she got there?
