Wow

Here's one seriously frightening and depressing take. The whole thing is worth reading so I hesitate to clip from it. Or maybe it's hooey. How do I know? My biggest misery, so far, about the financial crisis is that I'm not sufficiently educated in the right topics to evaluate what I'm reading.

Very depressing. My gut, rather than my knowledge, tells me nobody else knows what is happening or how to fix it either...that's why I call for caution. I know I pretend to know about economics but this is such a specialization...the financial markets.

Action goes against everything I believe about markets but the cry for action from some of those I trust alarms me.

It's bad enough when my libertarian bones resonate with a seeming need for government action but when it is (as Treebeard might say ) "hasty" government action, I shudder no matter who's in office.

And have you heard that the administration has been working on a plan for months? They've just unleashed it on us suddenly and presented it as a must-do-ASAP thing. See here: http://www.dailykos.com/storyonly/2008/9/23/124453/470/612/607556

And yes, I'm afraid anyone in office could lead us astray, but I must say that I'm REALLY not wishing Sarah Palin was in charge.

I have heard it and either it is a huge lie or a huge political gaffe for not telling us earlier.
