Exactly how is asking the reason(s) why you dropped your lawsuit "inappropriate"? I know the world today is all about spin - she says she was fired or relieved of her duties because of her conservative values. The pageant officials say it was because she did not full-fill her contractual duties. I personally believe it is more the latter, but who really cares anyway. I know the right is holding her up as a role-model. I guess what they want young girls to do is have someone lend you money for breast implants, pose for semi-nude photos (but hide under the veil of "modeling") and while a teenager, send an x-rated video of yourself to a boyfriend.

My impression is that not many folks on my side give a flip about her. Why are ya'll so obessed?

I'm sure the intellectual elite of the Rethugs don't care about her, but some batch of Rethugs love her because of her anti-gay marriage stance and want to treat her as a victim of . . . you name it -- all things liberal.
It's hard not to notice the similarities in how Rethugs have used her and Palin: pretty women as shiny objects that attract followers. Try to prop them up while they spew the party line, until something goes wrong and then drop them like hot potatoes.
How is she or Palin being dropped? CPJ was going to exclusive Rethug club, Hannity's on her...; Palin is doing Oprah and has a book that is being touted... What do you mean?
Prejean's speaking gig got canceled. I guess we'll see what your party does with Palin, but post-election, it looked like an orchestrated effort to leave her on the side of the road, what with tell-all behind-the-scenes campaign stories coming out.
Prejean is doing all the tv shows pimping her book. But before that, she has been the mini-Palin on all the radio shows. She was a victim, she is being attacked because of her views; what a lovely young woman and role model, etc, etc. etc.
They cooled off their support of her a little when the semi-nude photo stories came out; then a little more when the breast implant story came out. They will kick her to the curb over the sex tape and/or whatever other skeletons she has come out.
I don't understand why anyone cares about her - before or after her beauty pageant.
