I've finally reached my breaking point

Not sure if anyone else has taken the time to delete spam comments we've been getting over the past several months. Doing so has been part of my morning internet routine and I've finally gotten to the point where I'm getting VERY tired from doing so. I also hate waking up to see 10+ comment emails in my in-box, knowing that more than likely they are all spam comments.

I've made some changes to the blog settings to see if that will stop them - the changes shouldn't affect anyone, other than a certain named ex-blogger. Sorry....

Yay. I had the same thought this morning -- that it was time to start screening anon comments.

Weird. My comment is here. I can see it. But the comment count for this post says "0 Comments"

Stephanie said...

OK. Now it says "2".

And now it still says 2 even though there now are 3 comments.

Will see if this changes it to 4.

Stephanie said...

Nope. Still says 2.

Now it says 5. Squirrely.

Thanks for doing that. I've just given up on reading them in the mailbox...at least when they are from anon.

Bowie has something of a rep for being a bit, uh, on the greedy side. Isn't Bowie the guy who took all his music public?

I recall a tiff over $$ with the late, great Stevie Ray on the Serious Moonlight tour in '83. I think that led to that guy from Detroit whose name I can't recall (Do You Feel Like I Do?) being on that tour instead. I was out of the country when it happend so am relying on a 27 year old recollection of reports of friends.

My earliest recollection of his singing backup is on Mott the Hoople's All the Young Dudes.
