Re: Dad

Sorry to hear this Scooter. I think you are right though - better now than earlier in life. Thank God my parents are in good health, though I can see the signs of aging in them. Memory loss, getting tired out more quickly, more frequent minor health issues. I rue the day, which hopefully isn't close, but certainly is getting closer, of having to deal with something major.
You and your family are in our thoughts....

Thanks for the words and thoughts.

Big pow-wow this weekend with Mom and the four kids about what now. Mom has some question in her head about whether to tell Dad about the prognosis. I'm adamantly in favor of telling him. As a reasonably religious man, he needs to know in case there is any tidying up he needs to do.

Count your blessings about your folks and enjoy them while you can. I'm fortunate in that Dad and I have never had any problems between us and to the extent things went unsaid earlier in life, they've been said now.
