Gas prices

Sure, $3.85 seems high for a gallon of gas, but is it that high, historically speaking, taking inflation into account?

It's really interesting that 2008 peak is starting to "feel" like the 81 peak (when it was really hard for a college sophomore to fill his tank.) I'll be interested to see what the market does. I remember some sub-dollar gallons I bought in Denver in about 1997.
