Texas Border Scare, if true

I know nothing about this website but am starting to hear more and more of these rumors:

"Mexican soldiers and civilian smugglers had an armed standoff with nearly 30 U.S. law enforcement officials on the Rio Grande in Texas Monday afternoon, according to Texas police and the FBI."

scooter - how can you not call out Bush, conservatives, and your fellow Republicans for the absolute disaster that our border security has become, especially in our post 9/11 world. This story and this one are just scary in their implications...

OK - I'm still getting the hang of this. The links seem to work, but I was wanting to edit it and published it instead (their vs there). I can't figure out how to edit....

Ljo,

I can and will:

Bush far to beholden to US business who value the cheap labor afforded by our pourous borders. He is also self-deceived about his ability to "see into the hearts" of men. Witness: Vincente Fox and Vladi Putin.

He also dispicably referred to the Minutemen as vigilantes.

The southern border has been a problem since the Eisenhower administration...so I don't lay the problem the border "has become" solely at the feet fo the President and the Republicans.

I do, however, lay the blame of the poor, nay, reprehensible lack of remedial measures since September 11 squarely at their feet.

(Btw, how were you able to post a link in a reply to the original post.)

As I posted on December 8, 2005, I've been slowly morphing my position on the border from the Libertarian position...to Pat Buchanan's.

I just copied and pasted the basic HTML for a basics link into my reply:

TEXT

copied and pasted the URL i wanted to link between the ", and used the word I wanted to highlight instead of the word TEXT.

it worked for me

Hmmm, the link under the word TEXT not working. Is it to directions on the blogspot site somewhere?
