Almost 30 years ago I referred to Berlin's Take my Breath Away (from the soundtrack to Top Gun)as aural valium. I remember thinkng myself very clever.

That's pretty funny. I wasn't thinking "clever" really -- just accurately descriptive because I'm convinced I have a neurological response to his voice that triggers a rush of endorphins/dopamine. Makes me unable to sleep. And happy.
