Re: Copyright Permission

Wouldn't one first get a "cease and desist" and opportunity to delete the image or to complete reprint of text? I hope my hero Walter E. Williams would give me the chance to correct before he comes after me.

Copyright owner's option of how to handle. In so many copyright infringement situations, the copying activity is already done, so there's nothing to ask the infringer to stop doing. And the copyright owner mAY want to get paid for the use you've already made of their work. But like I said in earlier comment, there's lots of times the copyright owner doesn't care that you've copied and/or would happily grant permission use.

Since I suck up so much to, er, pay so much homage to, Dr. Williams, I feel pretty safe. Otoh, he may not be the copyright owner.
