Spitzer's Super-delegate Status?

Does he lose it under Democrat rules since he'll no longer be a sitting governor at the time of the convention? Must be.

Yep he loses it. I spent quite a bit of time a few days ago trying to figure out what then happens to Paterson's SD status, but couldn't quite nail it down. He was already a SD as an at at-large member for the DNC. Seems he'll lose that position, but take over the SD spot as the gov of NY. Then the question is whether the DNC replaces the at-large slot. I see bloggers saying there was a March 1 deadline for certification, and there seems to be some sort of deadline after which spots are lost and not repopulated, but I couldn't sort it out. Finally decided it doesn't matter anyway because race won't be decided by 1 superdelegate.
