This is pernicious nonsense

Steph writes about the McCain sex ed ad: "And I'm confident that one of the purposes of the ad is to tap into racist attitudes about the hypersexualization of black people. We'll see more of this, I predict."

As I said when she said the same thing in a comment to her post: "You absolutely must be kidding. You've gone way way over the edge if you really think that."

Reading racist code language in everything McCain says or does is a symptom of something, but I'm not sure what.

Did you not see what was done to McCain in the South Carolina primary in 2000? and don't tell me you don't believe Rove was the instigator.

By "seeing", do you include push polls?

That didn't quite make sense. What I meant was, I include push polls. So when you say it's nonsense to expect to see more, do you mean this kind of thing won't be included in push polls?

1. Rove doesn't work on the McCain campaign. 2. Don't believe the allegations in 2000 had anything to do with the "hypersexualization of black people" which is what you were saying and what i wasa objecting to. Even if it did, see pt. 1 3. What push polls? 4. The "nonsense" is your belief that the sex ed ad had any racist foundation, not whether there might be "more" (of what?) in the future.

1. Yeah, right. 2. You're right. That's true; 2000 was not hypersex black people. That's not what I meant. I just meant dirty politics exploiting race. 3)in Ohio. 4) There will be more attempts to tap into people's racial biases, including hypersexualized black people, I predict.
